Georgia Teen & Senior Photographer Focus on What You Love

“Stay Focused – Do What You Love”

Georgia Teen & Senior Portrait Photographer utilizes urban and natural settings to bring out the best in teens.

Hi! I’m Jennifer and welcome to the new JL Farmer Photography blog! JL Farmer Photography is a boutique teen and senior portrait studio based in Bonaire, Georgia. When I was walking to my computer to sit down and write this first post, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I am wearing a t-shirt I bought at a recent photography conference that says “Stay Focused – Do What You Love.” This shirt reminds me why I am a photographer and why I am starting this new blog adventure. The goal is to share the things I love with others. I am excited and nervous but I hope you will join me on this journey!

People ask me all the time why I only photograph teens. I photograph teens because that is what I love! I believe there are three major milestones in each young person’s life:

1. Becoming a Teenager

2. Graduating High School

3. Graduating College

Children grow into adults in the blink of an eye and you only have one chance to capture each milestone before it slips away. I find so much joy in helping parents and teens honor these important phases of life with fine art portraits. I have never heard a parent or teen say they regretted having their teen or young adult years remembered in photographic art. However, there are countless times I have heard parents express sadness that they did not take the time to capture all of the teenage moments like they did the toddler stage! JL Farmer Photography wants to help parents and teens capture the true spirit of the transition from being a teenager to being an adult.

Highlighting What I love: What can you expect from this blog?

My new blog is where I will be showcasing highlights from recent sessions and stylized shoots. I will be sharing images that show my love for both natural light and the light I create. I will let you peek behind the scenes and see my shooting style. I will be sharing how my stylized shoots were created and the final images. Hopefully, these insights will help potential clients know what to expect when working with me and help them fall in love with photography too! I will be sharing tips and tricks to help clients prepare for their portrait sessions. I will even be sharing tips to help those who want to improve their own photographs. I hope you will go on this blogging adventure with me and end up loving photography as much as I do!
